Entrance Scholarships
In 2023/24, HSUHK offers the following entrance scholarships to qualified1, 2, 3 new local4 Year 1 students:
Criteria
- Newly admitted Year 1 student; AND
- Permanent resident of the HKSAR; AND
- Achieve excellent academic result in the HKDSE examination, including a minimum of Level 3 for Chinese Language and English Language, and Level 2 for Mathematics (Compulsory part), Liberal Studies and 1 elective subject in Category A (except M1 and M2); AND
- Intend to pursue a career in the banking and finance industry after graduation; AND
- Good conduct and personality, honesty and integrity, with a positive attitude towards life, and well prepared to take up social responsibilities and to serve the community; AND
- Preference will be given to those who have had good service and leadership records in secondary school.

- Full tuition fee for four consecutive academic years; AND
- Residential College accommodation fee (if applicable).
Criteria
- Newly admitted Year 1 student; AND
- 5 subjects with a total of 20 points or above in the HKDSE examination, or equivalent, including a minimum of Level 4 for Chinese Language and English Language, Level 2 for Mathematics (Compulsory part), Liberal Studies and one elective subject in Category A (except M1/M2).

- Year 3 and 4: HK$20,000 each
Criteria
- Newly admitted Year 1 student; AND
- 5 subjects with a total of 18-19 points in the HKDSE examination, or equivalent, including a minimum of Level 4 for Chinese Language and English Language, Level 2 for Mathematics (Compulsory part), Liberal Studies and one elective subject in Category A (except M1/M2).

- Year 3 and 4: HK$10,000 each
Criteria
- Top FIVE Year 1 entry undergraduate local Non-Chinese Speaking students attended HKDSE examination with the highest scores in 4 subjects, including a minimum of Level 4 for English Language, Level 2 for Mathematics (Compulsory part)#, Liberal Studies and one of the best elective subject in Category A (except M1/M2); AND
- Attained the following grades or above in either one of the respective examinations:
– HKDSE Applied Learning Chinese: Attained with distinction
– GCSE Chinese: A* / Grade 8
– IGCSE Chinese: A* / Grade 8
– GCE A-level Chinese: A
#A minimum of Level 3 in Mathematics (Compulsory Part) for Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Actuarial Studies and Insurance admittees

Eligible admittees under this Scheme may receive one-off scholarships valued HK$5,000 each.
Criteria
- F.6 graduate of Buddhist Sin Tak College;
- Academic excellence;
- Outstanding performance in volunteer/ community services;
- Leadership quality, good conduct and other talents may take into consideration; AND
- Financial need of the student shall be considered

Half-tuition amount for Year 1-4
Criteria
- For F.6 graduate of Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College, Yan Oi Tong Chan Wong Suk Fong Memorial Secondary School OR Aberdeen Technical School;
- Admitted to the HSUHK in academic year 2023/24; AND
- Recommended by respective school principals.

Criteria
- Full-time local Year 1 entrants of BBA-CGC;
- Attained a minimum total score of 18 in the best five subjects in the HKDSE, meeting minimum admission requirement (including a minimum of Level 3 for Chinese Language, English Language and Level 2 for Mathematics (Compulsory Part), Liberal Studies and one elective subject in Category A (except M1/M2)); AND
- Performance in the selection interview, if any.

- Year 3 and 4: HK$20,000 each
Criteria
- For Year 1 entry undergraduate local student newly admitted with outstanding academic performance;
- Students from families experiencing financial difficulty. Indicators of proven financial needs include, but not limited to, being recipients of Hong Kong Government grants/ loans, from families who are in receipt of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (“CSSA”), other factors affecting the students’ studies at the University; AND
- Demonstrated track record in community and voluntary services during the senior secondary studies. In case all factors being equal, preference will be given to those with the highest number of services hours.

One-off scholarship valued HK$25,000 each
Remarks:
- Only students admitted with current year HKDSE results are eligible. The HKDSE results of scholarship recipients should meet the minimum entrance requirements.
- Academic results of combined HKDSE certificates will not be considered.
- Students will not be awarded any entrance scholarship if they have transferred or been readmitted to the same or another programme for whatever reasons.

- Renewal criteria: Year GPA of 3.3 or above is required.
- After the deduction of subsidy under Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme (NMTSS).
