English Proficiency Requirement

Applicants who are studying / completed a programme at sub-degree level or above which is taught in a language other than English should fulfill the English proficiency requirement (e.g. IELTS of 5.5 or above, TOEFL score of 525 or above (paper-based) / 70 or above (internet-based) for admission. Kindly note that all English proficiency tests should be taken at test centres.

Remarks: 

  1. Applicants should fulfill the above minimum entrance requirements and pass in any assessment (e.g. written test, interview) as required by the programme. Applicants who satisfy the minimum entrance requirements are not guaranteed to be selected for assessment / to be admitted since the number of applicants, applicants’ academic performance, and approved admission quotas, etc. vary each year.
  2. Applicants who are not eligible for admission to Year 3 might be admitted to lower year, subject to availability of places and cumulative GPA, etc.
  3. Applicants who completed Year 2 of undergraduate programme in related discipline from a recognized institution in Hong Kong or overseas, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or equivalent, can apply for admission to Bachelor of Translation with Business (Honours) (Year 3 Entry).
