CHEN Sirun
BBA (Hons) in Global Business Management (Year 2 Student)
Coming from the Mainland to study in Hong Kong is a very challenging experience, and I need to adapt to the new learning and living environment. I am very happy to be enrolled in The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, where I can not only feel the youthful vigor of this young university, but also appreciate teachers’ broad knowledge. I was awarded the Entrance Scholarship upon admission, which gave me a good and motivating start to my university life and encouraged me to work harder in my studies. At university, it seems that there are not so many classes in a week, but in fact, it leaves me with more time to review and enrich myself. I love sports, especially football. I have witnessed my growth in the school gym and with the team, and I can see my improving performance on the field, all of which become possible by the platform and guidance provided by the university.
Hong Kong is an international city with a well-developed economy, and studying and living here expands my exposure to a diversified culture and professional opportunities. I chose to study at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong because of its youthful vitality and immense potential it brings to me. The multicultural campus environment attracts students from different countries and regions and promotes international exchange and co-operation. Finally, the University focuses on cultivating students’ sense of social responsibility and encourages them to participate in community service and social activities to enhance their overall qualities. For example, in the football varsity team, there are volunteer projects where we coach local children in learning football, allowing us to contribute our skills to society.
